Experienced Arborist/Climber

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic, experienced arborist, to take the next step in their career progression and come join our team. Aside from general day to day tree work duties, you will be working along side our team to carry out planting, site clearances, working with cranes and MEWPs, as well as getting to grips with fencing.

L.Smith Tree Surgery, a tree surgery company based in Fleet, Hampshire, was founded 2013 by Leo Smith. Our company has developed into an Arboricultural Association Arb Approved Contractor and Safeconctractor Accredited company.

We work in the residential, commercial and council sectors, providing arboricultural services to our clients. Aside for the day to day tree work, we also conduct tree inspections and tree surveys, planting and fencing, allowing for a flexible and varied working schedule. Health and safety and working in safe and efficient manner, which adheres to latest legislation in tree work is very important to our business.

We will be asking you to carry out the following tasks:

- Working alongside our team to perform the general day to day arboricultural duties.

- While working with an Arb Approved accredited company, you will be required to work to latest legislation. - Refresher training, and upskill training will be provide to meet your compliance obligations with Arb association.

- We operate with a paperless system, utilising CRM software to provide work specifications and site specfic risk assessments. Training on the system will be provided.

- You will be required to assist in loading and unloading of the equipment, tools and machinery, in the morning and afternoon.

- You will be responsible for carrying out pre-use checks on all equipment, and assisting management with interim LOLER inspections, PUWER and vehicle inspections. By working as team, we ensure a simple life for everyone involved.

Essential Skills - Qualifications - Experience.

- The applicant will have a minimum of three years climbing experience.

- Level 3 in Arboriculture or equivilent experience.

- CS 30 - Chainsaw Mainenance and cross cutting, CS 31 - Small Tree Fell, CS38 - Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue, CS39 Chainsaw use in a tree.

- Full, Clean UK Driving Licence

- Capable of passing a DBS check, as we work in and around schools.

We would consider the following additional qualifications:

- CS41 Rigging

- IPAF/Lantra MEWP Qualification

- Wood Chipper Certificate

- Training or Refresher training in CS30, 31, 38, 39 in the last 5 years.

- Stump grinder

- Basic/Professional Tree Inspection

- IOSH - Managing safely.

- Team leader or experience co-ordinating staff and customer relations.

- Experience using ArbPro CRM software
