Experienced Arborist/Climber
We are actively seeking an enthusiastic, experienced arborists, to take the next step in their career progression and come join our team.
Aside from general day to day tree work duties, you will be working along side our team to carry out planting, site clearances, working with cranes and MEWPs, as well as getting to grips with fencing.

L.Smith Tree Surgery, an established company, based in Fleet, Hampshire. We worked with an established client base in the residential, commercial and council sectors, providing arboricultural services to our clients.
We are an Arboricultural Association Arb-Approved Contractor and Safecontractor Accredited company, demonstrating our commitment to providing a safe and reliable service to our clients.
Aside from the day to day tree work, we conduct tree inspections and tree surveys, planting and fencing, allowing for a flexible and varied working schedule, and the opportunity for significant career development within our company.
We are a paperless company, using a customer relations management (CRM) system, known as ArbPro. This systems incorporates the work sheets, risk assessment, client information and emergency details, ensuring our teams have a clear understanding of the works, with mapping, photos and detailed work specifications.
We will be asking you to carry out the following tasks:
- Carry out your arboricultural services, involving pruning, dismantles, rigging and crane works, achieving a high standard of works that adhere to the BS 3998-2010.
- We ask you are experienced in climbing operations and rigging. Training can be provided above the required qualifications, including refresher training if your qualifications are five years old or more.
- We ask you conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner, providing a high professional service to our team and clients, both in domestic and commercial sector.
Essential Skills - Qualifications - Experience.
- The applicant will have a minimum of three years industry climbing experience.
- CS 30 - Chainsaw Mainenance and cross cutting,
-CS 31 - Small Tree Fell,
- CS38 - Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue,
- CS39 Chainsaw use in a tree.
- Full, Clean UK Driving Licence
- Capable of passing a DBS check, as we work in and around schools.
We would consider the following additional qualifications:
- CS41 Riggin
- Wood Chipper Certificate
- Experience in coordinating staff and working closely with customers.
Additional qualifications aren't essential and where there is the potential for career progression, we will work with our team to meet their training requirements, ensure they can reach their goals and progress through their career with us.
