Gardener/Landscaping
JOB OPPORTUNITY

We looking for a full-time gardener to join our company, we are based in Boroughbridge but have vans leave from Thirsk too. Our clients are all over the local area from Ripon, Harrogate, Wetherby, Leeds, Boroughbridge, York.

Your responsibilities and duties will include, not limited to;

You will be working to detailed briefs for various aspects of gardening/landscaping work and taking a hands on approach jobs.

Including; grass cutting, weeding, strimming, pruning, hedge trimming, landscaping.

Managing your time and jobs effectively as this job is very physically demanding and you’ll be outside come rain or shine!!!

Being able to work in a team

Able to use a wide range of petrol garden machinery and tools including lawn mowers, strimmers, blowers, turf cutters, chainsaws, weed sprayers, hedgetrimmers, scarifiers and rotavators. Experience an advantage but full training provided.

Landscaping skills would be advantageous but not essential.

Ideally, a full uk driving licence, as you may be asked to drive a van to cover our current drivers for absence or holiday.

You will have responsibility for various jobs throughout each day. As utmost importance ensuring deadlines are hit, being efficient without compromising quality of work. Working in a professional and friendly manner to deliver high standards of customer service.

To be considered for this Gardener role you will have the following experience, skills and attributes;

Hold a UK Driving Licence (preferably)

A good eye and attention to detail. Experience in all aspects of garden preparation and maintenance, including excellent Hedge cutting and machinery skills would be an advantage, training can be provided.

Have good communication and customer service skills.

Any horticultural qualifications would be an advantage But not essential as training will be provided

Experience in paving, driveways, turfing, brickwork, site levelling, fencing, decking etc, would be an advantage

Some experience in similar position would be an advantage

PA1, PA6 Spraying Licence Preferable (not essential).

Potential employees will be offered an agreed trial period. The position will be offered on the basis of this trial.

Full time: 0730 (on site)- 1630-1730 Monday - Friday.
