Perimeter Solutions Limited is one the of the UK’s fastest growing physical security contractors, specialising in security fencing and gate automation. With over 40 members of staff and a combined annual turnover expected to exceed £7.5m, we are looking for a SHEQ manager to assist us with the continued delivery of projects to the highest safety standards in the industry.

This is a part time role, currently requiring 24 hours a week spread over a minimum of 3 days. As long as it suits the needs of the business, we can be flexible with how these hours are fulfilled within the working week.

Role Overview:

Reporting to and working with the director responsible for health and safety matters, you will be supported in this self managing role to ensure the continued maintenance and improvement of all SHEQ processes and systems within the company. This will be for both our fencing division Perimeter Solutions and our automation division Perimeter Solutions Automation.

Key responsibilities:

In your role as SHEQ manager, your duties would include (but are not limited to):

- Develop and maintain a positive H&S culture aligned with our company goals

- Ensure policies and procedures comply with legislation and are effectively communicated

- The creation, delivery and record keeping of site specific documentation such as RAMS and Toolbox talks

- Continual review and management of staff training

- Assisting with audits and reviews, the creation and delivery of action plans to improve company performance

- Leading investigations into any accidents or near misses, communicating learnings to our staff

- Assisting and driving forward key H&S initiatives

- The ongoing maintenance of online pre qualification accreditation, eg CHAS, Constructionline etc

- Carrying out in-house audits, both on site and in the office/warehouse

- Attending safety meetings, conducting and attending audits as necessary.

- Act as the point of contact for external bodies, such as the HSE and insurers.


Qualifications & Skills


- A minimum of 3 years of H&S Management experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or a similar field. Fencing would be a particular advantage

- A NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

- Strong problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and coaching skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office tools.


£25/hr based on 24 hours per week.

28 days paid holiday (inc. bank holidays) Pro-rata to suit time worked

You will be expected to have your own transport, we will reimburse any travel expenses incurred as a result of site visits.
