Bailey MK is a well-established, and expanding, roofing and building company. We are currently hiring for an experienced Contracts Manager to support our Responsive and commercial Maintenance Team, sectors including roofing, fencing, adaptations, building repairs and external works. The main purpose of the role is to provide support, experience, supervision, surveying and expertise to the existing team.

The ideal candidate must have:

· Valid UK Driving licence

· Knowledge and Understanding of Schedule of Rates.

· Understanding of roofing and building works.

· SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid – preferred

· Asbestos awareness

· Experience in the maintenance and repairs sector

· Legal Disrepair work experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

· Liaise with Tenants/Homeowners/Landlords and Housing Officers regarding Repairs works.

· Working closely with BMK Operations Managers and Co-ordinators.

· Good working knowledge of NHF SOR’s.

· Excellent communication skills across all levels.

· Ability to diagnose building defects, specify remedial works and write reports should they be needed.

· Knowledge of building trades.

· Have knowledge of CDM Regulations.

· Convert Surveys into SOR Quotes when needed and assist with producing estimates.

· Carry out Tool Box Talks, Quality Checks, Health and Safety checks and Audits.

· Keep up to date with company policies.

· Attend Client meetings when needed and stand in for the Operations Manager should there be a requirement to do so.

· Ensure that Operatives are complying with all H&S, scaffolding Safety and basic design principle, including the safe use of mobile access towers, working at height requirements, including wearing PPE

· Getting to know every member of the team – strengths, weaknesses and areas of expertise in order to use their skills to maximum effect.

· Assisting with planning of work diaries when needed.

· Be a contact for Clients and Operatives to give Technical Advice and Support.

· Have an understanding of the Bailey MK Standards and ensure these are being met.

· Supervise and Survey works in and outside of Milton Keynes and across our geographical working area.

· Assist with SOR completions and training office staff and operatives in the correct use of SOR’s.

· Using business specific applications on the Company Mobile Phone.

· Oversee daily activity of Operatives, ensure all are trained and working appropriately across the area in which we work.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
