Sales and Support Specialist
Job details
Full job description
About Nofence
Nofence has developed the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. Our technology uses solar-powered collars that communicate with an app over the mobile network, allowing farmers to create and manage grazing areas in seconds, without the need for traditional physical fencing.
Farmers can make better use of their land, manage grazing more efficiently and keep track of their livestock through the app. This saves time, improves farm profitability and supports better animal welfare.
What began as an idea shared by a small group of farmers and engineers has grown into an international business, with customers across Norway, Sweden, the UK, Spain and the US. We are passionate about using technology to transform livestock management and create a better everyday life for farmers and animals.
As we continue to grow our UK and Ireland operations, we are looking for a Sales and Support Specialist to join our team.
Join us on our journey to revolutionise agriculture and make a real difference to farmers, livestock and the environment.
About the role
As a Sales and Support Specialist, you will play an important role in helping farmers discover the benefits of virtual fencing and supporting existing customers to get the most from their Nofence system.
The role combines sales, customer service and technical support. You will build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, follow up on sales opportunities, identify opportunities to grow customer accounts and provide practical guidance on using our technology.
We believe that excellent customer relationships are built on understanding the needs of farmers and helping them find the right solutions for their businesses. You will therefore need to be approachable, organised and confident communicating with customers by telephone, email and other channels.
Full training will be provided on our products, technology and customer support systems. Experience in agriculture, livestock management or a customer-facing sales role would be a significant advantage.
You will be part of a collaborative and dedicated team, working closely with colleagues across the UK, Ireland and our wider international organisation. As Nofence continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve our processes and help shape how our Sales and Support teams develop.
Job title: Sales and Support Specialist
Employment type: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Reporting to: UK & Ireland Business and Operations Manager
Location: UK, with travel as required
(Remote or at our office in Shropshire)
Travel: Occasional travel to agricultural shows, events and customer farms
Main responsibilities

-
Manage incoming sales enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels.
-
Follow up with prospective customers and convert sales opportunities into orders.
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
-
Identify opportunities to upsell and expand existing customer accounts where appropriate.
-
Understand customers’ farming businesses and explain how Nofence can meet their grazing and livestock management needs.
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, sales activity and opportunities within the CRM system.
-
Work collaboratively with the wider Sales team to support sales targets and business growth.
Customer support
-
Respond to customer enquiries and support requests by telephone, email, the ticketing system and other relevant tools.
-
Provide clear, practical guidance to help customers use their Nofence system effectively.
-
Maintain regular contact with customers and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
-
Record support cases accurately and ensure that issues are followed through to resolution.
-
Identify and escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to the relevant Product and Engineering teams.
-
Help identify recurring customer issues and share feedback to support improvements to our products and services.
-
Contribute to collecting and reporting information on product performance and customer experiences.
Teamwork and continuous improvement
-
Share knowledge, customer feedback and information with colleagues across the UK, Ireland and international support teams.
-
Contribute to the development of our Sales and Support processes as the business grows.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation on projects and initiatives.
-
Support agricultural shows, demonstrations and other events, including occasional travel to customer farms.
-
Be flexible and willing to assist with other reasonable tasks that support the needs of the business.
About you
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about agriculture, enjoys working with people and is motivated to help customers succeed.
You will ideally have:
-
Experience in sales, customer service, customer support or a similar customer-facing role.
-
An understanding of agriculture, livestock, grazing or pasture management. Practical farming experience would be an advantage.
-

-
Excellent written and spoken English.
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow-ups.
-
Confidence using CRM systems, email and other digital tools.
Relevant qualifications in agriculture, business, sales or a related field would be beneficial. However, practical experience, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Self-motivated: able to take ownership of tasks and work independently.
-
Customer-focused: committed to providing helpful, reliable and professional service.
-
Organised: able to prioritise work, maintain accurate records and follow through on commitments.
-

-
Collaborative: willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to the success of the wider team.
-
Passionate about agriculture: interested in helping farmers improve their businesses through technology.
What we offer
At Nofence, you will have the opportunity to join an ambitious international business that is changing how livestock are managed. We are passionate about product development, animal welfare, farmer wellbeing and sustainable agriculture.
