Job Summary:

We a seeking an experienced and dedicated pigman or woman to take on our growing commercial outdoor set up (In order to apply, must have a minimum of 1 years experience working with pigs).

We are a family run commercial concern, specialising in free range commercial, outdoor pigs. We currently have breeding stock of around 30 sows and wish to increase incrementally over time.

We are looking for someone with both experience and dedication and the role will include all aspects of the day to day running of the stock and farm. As long as attendance is sufficient, we are willing to be flexible with hours. Other duties include fencing, maintenance of our small poultry flock, land and pen rotation, stock rotation, weaning, feeding, watering, artificial insemination and general day to day farm work and maintenance.

Pay will be entirely dependant on experience, a vehicle may be provided to the correct candidate, along with accommodation after an initial trial period. Due to the nature of the work, weekend hours will be required but can absolutely be kept to a minimum.

Any machinery tickets beneficial, machinery experience essential, maintenance experience a plus.
