ABOUT YACHTBUYER

YachtBuyer is redefining how people discover and experience yachts online.

Combining expert knowledge with innovative digital storytelling, we create engaging video content that helps buyers and enthusiasts explore the world's finest yachts in a way that is informative, accessible and inspiring. From in-depth yacht reviews and exclusive walkthroughs to industry insights and major boat show coverage, our content is trusted by a global audience and respected throughout the marine industry.

Creativity sits at the heart of everything we produce. We are constantly evolving our content, embracing new ideas, technologies and formats to keep our productions fresh, engaging and ahead of the curve. We encourage experimentation, value original thinking and strive to create content that stands apart in both quality and execution.

Working closely with the world's leading yacht builders, designers and brands, we produce premium digital content that reaches hundreds of thousands of viewers across YouTube and social media every month. Our ambition is simple: to set the benchmark for yacht media by creating content that is as innovative as the industry it represents.

Here's how I'd integrate the revised responsibilities into the full advert so it flows naturally and presents a clear picture of the role.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented and highly creative Creative Video Editor to play a key role in producing YachtBuyer's industry-leading YouTube content.

This is a hands-on role where editing is your primary focus. You'll transform footage into engaging, informative and visually compelling videos that showcase some of the world's finest yachts. From in-depth yacht reviews and exclusive walkthroughs to interviews and international boat show coverage, your work will help define the quality and creativity of our content.

We're looking for someone with exceptional editing skills, a strong instinct for storytelling and an eye for detail. While the role is predominantly edit-based, you'll also have the opportunity to support filming on location when required, bringing a creative eye and an understanding of how to capture footage that elevates the final production.

Working closely with our presenters, producers and editorial team, you'll contribute ideas throughout the creative process and help us continue to raise the standard of yacht media.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit engaging long-form YouTube content, including yacht walkthroughs, reviews, interviews and boat show coverage.
  • Transform raw footage into compelling stories through excellent pacing, structure and attention to detail.
  • Apply advanced colour grading, audio balancing, sound design, motion graphics and graphics overlays to produce polished, premium-quality content.
  • Work closely with presenters, producers and the editorial team to shape creative concepts and continually enhance the quality of our productions.
  • Ensure every video reflects YachtBuyer's premium brand, editorial standards and commitment to innovation.
  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while consistently delivering to production deadlines.
  • Continually explore new editing techniques, technologies and creative approaches that keep YachtBuyer at the forefront of digital yacht content.
  • Support filming on location when required, capturing high-quality footage that complements YachtBuyer's visual style.
  • Demonstrate a strong eye for composition, lighting, framing and camera movement to ensure footage meets the highest production standards.
  • Work collaboratively with presenters and producers to identify creative filming opportunities and capture the coverage needed to tell each story effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro (essential).
  • Proven experience editing high-quality long-form video content.
  • A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating exceptional editing, storytelling and creative judgement.
  • An excellent eye for composition, pacing, colour and visual storytelling.
  • Strong experience in colour grading, audio editing, sound design and motion graphics.
  • The ability to capture high-quality footage when required, with a good understanding of camera operation, lighting and framing.
  • A passion for creating innovative, engaging digital content and continually pushing creative boundaries.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest standard.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to contribute creative ideas throughout the production process.

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience filming in challenging environments, including on the water or at live events.
  • Experience with drone operation (and relevant licences where applicable).
  • Experience with 360° cameras and immersive video production.
  • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics software.
  • Experience within the luxury, marine, automotive or lifestyle sectors.
  • An interest in yachts, design, engineering or the marine industry.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A competitive salary.
  • Hybrid working flexibility.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 9:00am–5:30pm.
  • Company pension.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Paid volunteer time.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Sick pay
