Financial Controller – Manufacturing | Part-Time | Newport

RWR Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business in Newport for an experienced Financial Controller / Manufacturing Finance professional.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands manufacturing finance, production costing, stock and operational performance not just general accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day finance function
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports
  • Manage stock control, stock takes and inventory valuation
  • Analyse production costs, margins, yield and variances
  • Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production data
  • Support accurate product and manufacturing costing
  • Monitor material usage, waste and production efficiencies
  • Manage purchase/sales ledgers, reconciliations and cash flow
  • Work closely with purchasing and production teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and profitability

About You

We're looking for someone with proven manufacturing finance experience at Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar level.

You will have:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and production costing
  • Experience with stock takes, stock control and inventory valuation
  • Understanding of yield, material usage and production variances
  • Experience working with BOMs
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A hands-on approach with the confidence to work with production teams

Experience with Zoho and Manu would be advantageous.
