Graduate Finance Broker

Milton Keynes | £25,000 base plus commission | Full-time, permanent

About us

Approved Finance Group is an FCA authorised commercial finance brokerage based in Milton Keynes. We help UK businesses secure the funding they need across business, property and motor finance.

The role

We are opening a graduate route into our business finance team. You will speak to UK business owners who have enquired about funding, understand what they need and match them with the right lender and product. You will run each case from first conversation through to payout.

You do not need finance or sales experience. Enquiries are generated for you, our process is proven, and you will be coached directly by our Sales Director from your first day. Alongside the enquiries we provide, you will be expected to build your own pipeline through referrals, repeat business and your own outreach. The brokers who do best here treat our enquiries as a starting point.

What you will be doing

• Speaking to business owners every day by phone and email
• Understanding their business, their funding need and what they can afford
• Presenting suitable options from our lender panel and explaining them clearly
• Packaging applications and working with lenders through to payout
• Asking for referrals on every deal, looking after returning customers and building your own sources of business over time
• Keeping our CRM accurate and following our compliance process on every deal

What we are looking for

• A strong academic record, typically a degree in any subject or an equivalent qualification
• Drive and a competitive streak, shown through sport, work, societies or anything else you have pushed yourself in
• Confidence on the phone and clear written English
• Good with numbers and comfortable learning how to read business financials
• Someone who takes coaching well and acts on feedback quickly
• Organised, honest and reliable, because we work in a regulated industry
• The right to work in the UK and the ability to work full-time from our Milton Keynes office

What you get

• £25,000 base salary
• Uncapped commission on all revenue you generate, from your first deal
• On target earnings of £30,000 to £40,000 in year one and £45,000 to £60,000 from year two on our full commission model
• A move to our full broker commission structure after a successful 6 month probation

Pay: £25,420.00-£43,000.00 per year
