About The Right Mortgage

We are a completely independent Network for mortgage and protection brokers with over 800 members across the UK. Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting for a Marketing Compliance Consultant to join our team.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Compliance Consultant to join the team. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of the successful candidate working from our Head Office 2 x a week following training. Due to the role being hybrid, you must live within a commutable distance to our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull.

You must have a strong understanding of the financial service industry as well as a solid understanding of Mortgages, General Insurance, Private Medical Insurance, Pure Protection and Equity Release. You will be responsible for assessing material for Financial Promotions within the Network and be the first port of call for advisers who require assistance with their Financial Promotions material. You will also be responsible for all Data Protection requests received into the Netwok.

Requirements of a Marketing Compliance Consultant (Financial Promotions)

  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry.
  • The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Mortgages, General Insurance, Medical Insurance, Pure Protection and Equity Release.
  • Good understanding of Financial Conduct Authority regulations.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Competent on Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Excel, Word etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities of a Marketing Compliance Consultant (Financial Promotions)

  • Anticipate, interpret, communicate and advise on regulatory and industry rules, codes and guidance, acting as a subject matter expert in financial promotions systems and controls ensuring the production of compliant marketing material across the Network.
  • Deliver and enforce an efficient first line of defence capability for financial promotions, ensuring all marketing material is compliant and appropriately signed off to agreed SLAs and regulatory standards, to deliver the best outcomes for the Network’s advisers and the interests of the business.
  • Interpret, assess and respond to regulatory developments in order to define and develop appropriate sign-off criteria for financial promotions, in conjunction with the Network’s Compliance Director and Head of Policy, to ensure marketing materials are up to date and meet all compliance standards.
  • Manage and deliver the provision of training and support to the Network’s members to ensure that all regulatory aspects are considered during the production of promotional material prior to submission in order to ensure a 'right first time' approach.
  • Respond to Data Protection Requests in a timely manner, maintaining a strong understanding of the applicable ICO rules and requirements.

Working hours of a Marketing Compliance Consultant (Financial Promotions)

  • Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of the successful candidate working from our Head Office 2 x a week following training. Due to the role being hybrid, you must live within a commutable distance to our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull

Salary of a Marketing Compliance Consultant (Financial Promotions)

£25,000 to £30,000 dependant on experience.
