Full job description

We have an exciting, new vacancy for an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to join our friendly team in Herefordshire. We are a small company of Financial Advisers on the outskirts of this beautiful and rural City. Within our ever-expanding client base, we specialise predominantly in Retirement Planning and Investment Advice. We are seeking the right candidate who will be qualified to at least Level 4 or above and who will have the desire to develop their skills and to participate in further training where necessary. Our existing team have been handpicked for their knowledge, IT and interpersonal skills and we pride ourselves in this area with our philosophy of, “one team, one goal”. We have a full support team including paraplanning facilities.

We are seeking an approachable yet professional individual to expand our friendly team. This individual will need to be able to act with integrity, be a great team player and to put client welfare at the very forefront of their role. The role will require travel in Herefordshire and the surrounding area, including Ross-on-Wye, Monmouthshire and Gwent.

Our company provides a personable and comprehensive service to both existing and new clients alike and draws on many years financial services experience. Our main aim is to provide a “comprehensive wealth management service on a very personal basis." We are not interested in sales. We pride ourselves in long-standing and quality advice with the client being at the forefront of our service.

Mark Young, Director and current IFA has over 25 years’ financial services experience, eight of them with the National Westminster Bank. In that time, he has covered all aspects of financial planning, gaining extensive experience in investment and inheritance tax planning. Mark holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) qualification, which incorporates additional examinations in Trusts and Tax, Pensions and Investment planning. As a regulated firm, you will work in an independent, professional capacity, working mainly with private clients and some commercial clients.

We are very enthusiastic about technology and utilise the latest software and systems to provide full, regular reporting to our clients. We have well established connections with a number of leading UK stockbrokers allowing us to have share portfolios of all sizes, professionally managed, on an ongoing basis. We pride ourselves in working together to ensure all our client's requirements are met both now and, in the future, offering an effective, approachable wealth management service. The right candidate will have excellent IT skills and would be willing to develop their current skills in this area.
