This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial services or a financial planning practice who is keen to develop their knowledge, work closely with experienced Wealth Strategists and progress towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

You will play an important role in supporting advisers, preparing client documentation, researching investment solutions and ensuring clients receive a professional, efficient and high-quality service.

The Role

Working alongside Wealth Strategists, Client Managers and other advisers, you will provide technical and administrative support throughout the financial planning process.

From preparing client review packs and drafting suitability reports to researching investment products and helping implement recommendations, you will gain valuable exposure to a broad range of financial planning activities.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and committed to developing a career within wealth management and financial advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings alongside Wealth Strategists and prepare accurate meeting notes documenting clients' financial needs and objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, responding to queries and arranging review meetings.
  • Prepare client packs and ensure all information required for meetings is accurate and available on time.
  • Conduct research into investment products and financial planning solutions appropriate to clients' individual circumstances.
  • Work with Wealth Strategists to assess research findings and identify suitable recommendations.
  • Draft investment strategy documents, mandates and recommendation reports for adviser review.
  • Review client portfolios and support ongoing financial planning reviews.
  • Maintain client file review systems, ensuring records reflect clients' current circumstances and financial priorities.
  • Support the accurate and timely implementation of investment recommendations and transactions.
  • Provide technical information and draft reports to support Client Managers and advisers.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all transactions and documentation follow established procedures.
  • Use financial planning and research systems to support analysis and recommendations.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, compliance requirements and regulatory changes.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and external providers.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic, confident and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and keen to develop their technical knowledge.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience within financial services, ideally in a financial planning or wealth management practice.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career as a Financial Adviser.
  • A commitment to studying towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the CII.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing workloads.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional, client-focused approach with a commitment to high service standards.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets and formulae.
  • The ability to follow established systems, procedures and instructions.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and determination to progress.

Experience using financial planning systems such as Intelligent Office, Selecta Pension, FE Analytics and Iress would be advantageous. Familiarity with CashCalc and investment platforms such as Elevate would also be beneficial.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of up to £41,000.
  • An early finish on Fridays.
  • The opportunity to study towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
  • Valuable technical experience working alongside experienced Wealth Strategists and Financial Advisers.
  • Exposure to investment research, portfolio reviews and client recommendations.
  • The opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career within financial planning.

Why Apply?
