Job Summary
This is a senior position in the business. You will be part of the management team advising on the finances of the firm, as well as being involved in the broader business decision making to aid growth and profit.
You will be responsible for the management accounts, profit and loss, balance sheet and transactional ledgers.

Our experts provide a diverse range of professional property-related services throughout the South East. We are a progressive and expansive independent business based on traditional values. Our clients enjoy a truly bespoke service provided by our dedicated and highly experienced Partner-led teams. We have four strategically placed offices across Kent and Sussex including Battle, Haywards Heath, Pulborough and Tunbridge Wells.
Salary and package
· Based in our Battle office (68 High Street, Battle, TN33 0AG).
· Permanent position.
· Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm.
· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
· £60,000-£65,000 per annum DOE.
· Life Insurance.
· Discretionary Bonus.
· Enhanced Pension Contribution.
Qualifications and skills
· Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
· Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in accounting with a demonstrable relevant experience.
· Ability to prioritise a varied workload.
· Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently with people at all levels.
· Use of IT accounting Software - Xero ideally but not essential.
· Strong team leadership skills.
Responsibilities and duties
· Managing the Finance Team; acting as a strong role model.
· Prepare budgets and forecasts.
· Prepare monthly management accounts and present to business owners.
· Monitor and manage cash flows and rolling cash flow forecast.
· Ensure daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
· Oversee management of aged debtors.
· Monthly payroll.
· Ad-hoc financial and business projects.
· Lead liaison with external accountants and bank manager.
· Liaising with external accountants and tax advisers on the annual accounts and Partnership tax return.”
