Full job description

Salary: £48,000

Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire
Hours: 9.00am–5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working arrangement: Initially Office-based

Vertis Private Wealth Management Limited is an independent financial planning firm based in Kidderminster. Our business has been providing independent financial planning services to high-net-worth clients since 2000, combining a friendly, bespoke approach with high professional standards.

Over the past 20 years, our funds under advice have grown from £6 million to £75 million. We have provided excellent investment returns for clients by actively advising on portfolio management using knowledge and skills which the successful applicant will have access to and learn from outset.

Working closely with our Senior Financial and Investment Adviser, you will support the delivery of high-quality financial planning through suitability reports, technical research, cash-flow modelling, annual review preparation and adviser support.

As a small firm, the role is varied and hands-on. You will work closely with our adviser, compliance and administration teams and should be comfortable supporting wider client administration and day-to-day activities when required.

For the right person, this role offers a clear pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser, with increasing involvement in client meetings, reviews and the advice process as your experience and competence develop.

What we are looking for

· Previous experience working within a financial advice or financial planning environment, ideally in a paraplanning or closely related technical support role.

· Ideally, you will hold a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or Financial Advice.

· Strong part-qualified candidates with relevant paraplanning experience who are actively working towards completion will also be considered.

· Good knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and the financial planning advice process.

· Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and organisation.

· A flexible and collaborative approach.

· An interest in developing client-facing skills.

· Experience of Iress Xplan is desirable.
