Full job description
Swift Placements are supporting our well established client based in Bedford. Due to growth they are now looking for an experienced Commercial Litigator to join them on a full time basis.
The team is experienced handling a wide variety of disputes so the successful candidate will have the knowledge and exposure to hit the ground running on all kinds of work.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cases including contractual disputes, corporate disputes, professional negligence and a general broad mix of commercial litigation.
Key Duties:
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets KPIs
- Ensure case management records are maintained
- Take an active role in business development initiatives including training and networking
- Assist other lawyers in the team with their work as required including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers
- Train, supervise and develop junior team members
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc client MI report
- Ensure compliance with the relevant client policies and procedures
This list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties that fall within the remit of the role.
Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE handling commercial litigation disputes
- Experience managing on caseload with limited supervision
- Effective communicator
- Self motivated
- High level of commercial awareness
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Experience using case management systems
- Strong negotiation skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
