Full job description

Client Services & Paraplanner / Paraplanning Support
Chesterfield | Full-time (part time considered Pro Rata) | Study support available

We’re looking for a proactive and versatile individual to join our growing team, supporting our advisers, paraplanners, and administration staff in delivering outstanding service to our valued clients.

This is a varied and hands-on role that sits at the heart of our advice process. You’ll be involved in everything from preparing suitability reports and supporting pension and investment recommendations, to liaising with clients and providers, assisting with research, and helping ensure internal systems and platforms run smoothly.

This role is an important addition to our team and can be adapted to suit the right individual. It could be ideal for an experienced paraplanner seeking a fresh challenge in a collaborative, client-focused firm, or for someone currently in a financial services administration role who is ready to take the next step in their career. You don’t need to be fully qualified yet; what matters most is your mindset: motivated, detail-oriented, and keen to learn. We’ll support the right candidate in progressing towards formal paraplanning qualifications.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with the preparation of client reports and personalised recommendations
  • Supporting the administration team with documentation, platforms, and client communications
  • Collaborating with advisers and paraplanners on research and planning
  • Drafting suitability letters across pensions, investments, and protection
  • Liaising with clients and providers to gather information and follow up actions
  • Maintaining accurate client records and back-office system updates
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and ensuring ongoing compliance with FCA rules
  • Staying informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and product developments

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial planning or a similar role
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
  • A team player with a positive, client-first attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and confident using financial platforms

Desirable experience

  • Working towards the Level 4 Diploma (or already qualified)
  • Knowledge of Intelliflo and/or Genovo systems
  • Previous exposure to suitability report writing and investment research

What we offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Company pension scheme
  • Death in service benefit
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • Free parking
  • Staff team building days out
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Support towards qualifications and professional development

You’ll be joining a friendly and professional team where client care, clarity, and integrity are at the core of everything we do.
