We’re looking for a Commercial Manager to join LFS Energy in London.

Energy is a stated focus for LG’s growth, which we have backed with investments in domestic and commercial installation businesses supporting the growth of renewable energy and vehicle electrification.

Liberty Financial Services (LFS) builds on that commitment by adding Energy, Finance and Insurance to our existing portfolio of commercial business services in Liberty Shared Services.

You will support and lead a range of commercial negotiations from commercial contracts to mergers and acquisitions, likely to include wholesale energy market access, energy-related analysis and consultancy services, carbon and green certificate sourcing, risk management and project finance.

What will you be doing?

Priorities for the LFS Energy team include:

  • Development of new wholesale market products
  • Entering the market for corporate energy brokerage and technical support
  • Liaison with and support to LG Operating Companies in the UK and across Europe
  • Development of cross-sale opportunity for LFS and other LG products
  • Development of routes to delivery of services to non-LG businesses
  • Plan and lead negotiations with utilities and non-utility energy service providers (e.g. multinational banks, energy traders) for contracts with annual value up to £10m per year
  • Establish commercial contracts with selected counterparties, establish process for non-utility hedge setting and processing, including ongoing LFS contribution
  • Support M&A activity in energy-related services through structured market research, help to identify emerging trends and technologies.
  • Lead on commercialization of energy-related service within LG operating companies.

Tangiable experience in commercial roles within the energy sector developed over several years demonstrating:

  • Responsibility for business decisions,
  • Supplier relationship management including new contract negotiation and contract management.
  • Success in driving business value, revenue growth,
  • Innovation, and cultivation of strategic supplier relationships.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities. Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks.
