We're looking for a Financial Director who wants to own the numbers across a growing group of companies — and has no intention of slowing down.

This is not a role where you inherit a large team and manage from a distance. You'll be the most senior finance person in the group, working directly with the founder and the leadership team, and you'll be as comfortable producing the management accounts yourself as you are presenting the growth plan that sits on top of them.

About Premier Property

Premier Property is one of the UK’s leading property education businesses. We teach people how to build property portfolios and businesses that create genuine financial freedom, through live events, online programmes and one-to-one mentoring. Thousands of people have been through our training.

Alongside the education business we own and operate a number of property companies — investment, development and trading entities with their own portfolios, funding structures and reporting requirements. This role covers all of it.

We are ambitious. We are growing. And we need a finance function that can keep pace with that.

What you'll be doingAcross the group

  • Owning the full finance function end to end for every company in the group — management accounts, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting and year-end
  • Producing consolidated group reporting and a monthly board pack the leadership team can actually make decisions from, delivered on time, every month
  • Managing intercompany positions, loan accounts and recharges cleanly across multiple entities
  • Running cashflow forecasting and working capital planning so we always know our position 13 weeks out, at both entity and group level
  • Overseeing VAT, payroll, credit control, purchase ledger and statutory reporting across all companies, and managing the relationship with our external accountants, auditors and tax advisers
  • Leading and developing a small finance team, and building the processes, controls and systems that let that team scale
  • Being the commercial voice in the room — challenging spend, spotting the leaks, and telling the founder what he needs to hear rather than what he wants to hear

On the education business

  • Building the financial model behind our growth plan — pricing, margin, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, campaign-level profitability
  • Reporting on marketing spend and event performance so we know which campaigns actually make money

On the property companies

  • Financial oversight of our investment, development and trading entities, including project-level reporting and appraisals
  • Managing lender and broker relationships — drawdowns, covenant reporting, refinancing and funding schedules
  • Overseeing property-specific tax and compliance alongside our advisers: SDLT, CGT, corporation tax on disposals, and the structuring questions that come with a group of this shape
  • Tracking portfolio performance — yields, voids, project margins and return on capital

What we're looking forEssential

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Proven experience at Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Financial Director level in an SME
  • Experience running finance across multiple legal entities — consolidation, intercompany and group reporting are day-one skills here, not something you’ll pick up as you go
  • Genuinely hands-on — you’re happy in the detail and you don’t need a large team underneath you to produce a set of accounts
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Confident presenting numbers to non-finance people and holding your ground in a commercial discussion
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving owner-led business where priorities can shift

Nice to have

  • Property finance experience — investment, development or trading — including lender reporting and project appraisals
  • Experience in education, training, events, e-commerce or another high-volume consumer business
  • Experience implementing or upgrading a finance system across a group

What we offer

  • A salary of £100,000 – £120,000 plus a performance-related bonus
  • Genuine breadth — an education business and a property group under one remit, which is a far more interesting set of numbers than most FD roles offer
  • A genuine seat at the table — you’ll report directly to the founder and your work will shape the direction of the group
  • The autonomy to build the finance function the way it should be built
  • A high-energy, high-standards team at our London HQ
  • Ongoing professional development and access to our own property education programmes

The working pattern

This role is based full-time at our London head office. We work closely, we move fast, and we believe the best decisions get made in the room together. If you’re looking for a remote or heavily hybrid role, this isn’t the one — and that’s fine, we’d rather be upfront.

How to apply

Apply through Indeed with your CV and a short covering note telling us two things: the business you’re proudest of having improved the numbers in, and what you actually did to improve them. If you’ve run finance across a group of companies, tell us how many entities and how they were structured.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short online Working Style Profile (around 10 minutes) before interview. It’s one input among several and there are no right or wrong answers.

Premier Property is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the process.
