Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Waiter / Waitress to join our team at Varanasi Boutique Leicester. You will help lead service and ensure every guest enjoys a welcoming, professional and memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver attentive table service to a high standard.
  • Support the management team with the smooth running of service.
  • Guide junior team members and help train new staff.
  • Take orders accurately and confidently explain menu options.
  • Communicate dietary requirements and allergen queries clearly to the kitchen.
  • Handle guest requests and concerns professionally, involving management when needed.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and table setup.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience as a senior waiter/waitress or an experienced waiter/waitress ready to progress.
  • Experience in a premium restaurant or fine dining setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to stay organised during busy service.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
