Full job description

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join Menu Gordon Jones and work directly with Gordon. You can expect to be using the highest quality ingredients, learning all areas of the kitchen, and have the opportunity to learn new skills properly.

Applicants must have at least 2 years experience and ideally have some experience in pastry.

We operate a 4 day week Wednesday to Saturday, holidays are planned a year in advance with Christmas and New Year off! Tips are not included in the salary although received monthly and shared equally between the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to support food production and service.
  • Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment, ideally fine dining
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene
  • Background in hospitality and customer service
  • Familiarity with food production processes
  • Previous restaurant experience, including serving and food handling
