Heathgate Search is delighted to partner with a leading consultancy in the South East of England to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer.

You can be based anywhere in the South East of England (London, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton, Maidstone or Canterbury etc).

This is an exceptional Senior Fire Engineering opportunity with an excellent consultancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Write fire strategy reports, produce fire safety management plans and incorporate fire safety procedures into designs
  • Make recommendations on the materials to be used in the refurbishment or construction of buildings
  • Liaise with architects, local authorities and building control professionals
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects on time
  • Conduct site inspections on construction sites and advise on the installation or implementation of the designs.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • MIFireE
  • BSc, BEng, or MSc in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
  • 5 years of experience in a similar fire consultancy/engineering role
  • Experience producing fire strategy reports and fire consultancy services for both residential and commercial buildings.
  • Strong understanding of ADB, BS9991/99
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or BIM software for fire safety design (Desirable)

Your time will be split between travelling to clients across the South East of England, working from home, and writing technical reports.
