Full job description

ROLE: Fire Risk Assessor
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Manchester

We're looking for a Fire Risk Assessor who is driven to make the built environment safer and is developing their expertise in their field.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire safety risk assessments, fire door inspections and compartmentation surveys in line with the latest regulations
  • Produce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards compliance
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence
  • Stay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best available
  • Support the business by working flexibly and responsively from the company's office or from client's sites as required

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety (desirable)
  • Registered with the IFSM, IFE or similar competency scheme (minimum intermediate level)
  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments, fire door surveys and compartmentation surveys
  • Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation
  • Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease
