RSP Fire Safety Systems is experiencing significant growth in our servicing division. We strongly believe in nurturing talent to ensure our fire safety systems saves lives and protect property. The RSP Servicing Engineer specification below outlines the expectations of your role and the progression available to encourage consistent performance, continuous improvement, and great success. You will be reporting to the Servicing Manager.

Job Description

· Adhering to all company policies.

· Reading, understanding, and complying to Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

· Attend all relevant Toolbox Talks.

· Assist team-mates with loading and offloading materials.

· Understand and meet client demands where appropriate.

· Ability to read and understand designs and specifications.

· Manage and maintain own tools.

· Complete relevant documentation when requested.

· Experience of undertaking servicing works.

· To understand all elements of fire sprinkler system commissioning.

· Able to contribute to RSP Continuing Professional Development.

Personal expectations

· Be professional and well presented at all times.

· Promote the company openly to support the retention of existing and acquiring of new customers.

· Contribute ideas to improve business performance.

Essential Requirements

· Full Clean UK Driver’s License.

· A minimum of 1 years’ experience within the Plumbing / Sprinkler industry.

· Previous experience of working on multiple sites.

· Be able to read and understand schematics.

· Able to undertake water testing of fire sprinkler system.

· To be able to use basic hand tools.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· To be able to read and understand Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

· Evidence of continuous professional development.

Desirable

· FIRAS Approved Passive Fire Protection Engineer or similar.

· To understand all elements of fire sprinkler system commissioning.

· Knowledge of pump and tank installations.

· Full understanding of BS9251:2021.

· Experience in the servicing of fire sprinkler plant rooms and dry risers.
