Job Description
Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting for a Fire & Security Service Engineer. Based at home and reporting to the regional service manager, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of fire and security systems across your region.
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Corrective and preventative maintenance to a wide range of fire and security systems.
- Providing certification for serviced systems to comply with relevant British Standards.
- Participating in the emergency call out rota in the South East region.
- Effectively communicating with customers, service coordinators and management.
- Ensure all administration requirements are fulfilled and maintained accurately.
- Maintaining customer relationships and ensure a high level of service is offered at all times.
- Ensuring yourself and colleagues comply with all health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining your vehicle and stock levels to ensure client demands are met.
- Attending site meeting when required.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm and security systems.
- Must demonstrate experience in the following systems: Intruder alarms (Texecom and Honeywell Galaxy), CCTV system (Analogue/IP), Access Control, Public Address System and Fire Alarms (Addressable and Conventional).
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Industry Standards - BS5839/PD6662:2017/BS8243.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Professional and presentable.
- Excellent organisational and reporting/communication skills.
- Positive work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Due to the nature of the company’s business, the successful candidate will be vetted for security reasons
- Full UK driving licence.

Basic Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum dependant on experience. Plus generous call out allowance
Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (with plenty of overtime available). Travel paid minus ½ hour each way.
Hours of Work: 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Flexibility may be required to support business and client needs.
