Fire Safety Consultant (Façade)
Remote - UK with Nationwide Site Visits

The Role
As a Fire Safety Consultant (Façade / PAS 9980 / FRAEW), you will play a key role in Ventro’s growing façade and fire compliance team, delivering Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) in line with PAS 9980:2022.
This is a remote UK role focused on producing high-quality fire safety reports, façade risk assessments, and external wall system evaluations to support compliance with UK building safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete FRAEW reports in line with PAS 9980:2022
- Review site visit data, façade surveys, and evidence packs
- Produce clear, compliant fire risk appraisal reports for Chartered Fire Engineer validation
- Assess external wall systems (EWS), cladding materials, and fire risk factors
- Support compliance with Approved Document B, BS 8414, BR135, BS EN 13501-1
- Collaborate with internal façade teams and chartered fire engineers
- Provide technical fire safety advice on façade risk and remediation
- Maintain excellent reporting standards and documentation quality
How the Role Works
- All site visits, intrusive surveys, and data collection are conducted by our specialist façade inspection team
- You will be provided with full site information, technical data, and evidence packs
- You will produce a complete FRAEW report, which is then reviewed and validated by a Chartered Fire Engineer before issuing
- You will have direct access to on-site teams and Chartered Fire Engineers for guidance and support

- Strong technical report writing (FRAEW / fire risk assessments)

Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- PAS 9980:2022 (essential)
- BS 8414 / BR135
- Approved Document B
- BS 9991 / BS 9999
- BS EN 13501-1
- Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and building safety regulations
Qualifications (desirable):
- MIFSM (Level 2+) / TIFireE / IFE membership
- CFPA Diploma (or equivalent Fire Safety qualification)
- NEBOSH Fire Safety
- Degree in Façade Engineering, Fire Engineering, Building Surveying, or similar
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in fire safety, façade engineering, or building compliance
- Proven experience delivering FRAEW reports in line with PAS 9980
- Experience with external wall systems, cladding assessments, or EWS1
- Background in site inspections, façade surveys, or fire risk assessments
