Health & Safety Consultant

Salary: Starting at £45,000, raising to £48,000 after successful completion of 12 week Probation period

A growing health and safety consultancy based in Rotherham is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Health & Safety Consultant to join our expanding team.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with at least three years' experience and a NEBOSH National General Certificate. However, candidates with a background in fire safety, construction, or a related discipline are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and mentoring from our experienced senior consultants, helping you develop your knowledge and skills while learning how to work effectively and professionally within a wide variety of client environments.

Our highly varied client base ranges from large blue-chip organisations to local restaurants, charities and smaller businesses, meaning no two clients – or two working days – are the same. The Role

The role will involve providing professional health and safety advice to a diverse range of clients, both verbally and in writing. You will also assist clients with the development and implementation of effective health and safety management systems and produce a wide range of supporting documentation on their behalf.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing practical health and safety advice to clients.
• Conducting site visits and inspections.
• Assisting with the development of health and safety management systems.
• Preparing risk assessments, policies, procedures and other safety documentation.
• Communicating effectively with clients at all levels of their organisations.
• Supporting clients in meeting their legal and regulatory responsibilities.
• Working alongside experienced consultants and developing your professional knowledge.

The role may occasionally involve working away from home, although this will be limited wherever possible to support a healthy work-life balance. Long-distance travel will be kept to a minimum, with mileage paid at a premium rate where applicable.

About You

A NEBOSH General Certificate and approximately three years' experience would be preferred. However, we are also interested in hearing from candidates with relevant experience in fire safety, construction, or other related areas who are looking to develop their career within health and safety consultancy.
