Summary

We are seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join our team in Northern England. This role is vital in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of fire and electronic security systems align with our company's standards of excellence. Based in the North West, North East or East Midlands, you will contribute to safeguarding our clients' assets through expert system installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain fire and security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements.
  • Service Calls: Respond promptly to service calls on all types of fire and security systems.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in an out-of-hours rota for service provision (currently 1 in 6).
  • Performance: Meet attendance times and other KPIs and SLAs to ensure exceptional service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Coordinators and the Management team to ensure all jobs are covered and that stock levels are maintained.
  • Continuous Improvement: Attend training sessions and engineering team meetings, and proactively identify personal training and development needs. Stay updated on industry standards, safety regulations, and technological advancements.

About you

We are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to provide outstanding customer service every day. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a multi-disciplined engineer with a thorough knowledge of fire and security systems, including both IP and analogue CCTV, intruder alarms, networked access control systems and fire alarms.

  • A strong technical background in the electrical/electronic industry.
  • Experience with automated gates, barriers and shutters is an advantage.
