Millwood Servicing Ltd are a Fire Safety & Electrical Engineering Company based in Wallington. We are looking for one credit controller/sales ledger assistant to join our successful team to build strong working relationships with existing clients. Full training & support will be given to the right candidates who are proactive, keen to learn & can offer exceptional customer service
This role is to carry out servicing & remedial works to Fire Safety Systems. To lead by example in providing Millwood customers with an exemplary level of customer service which is fundamental to the success of Millwood Servicing Ltd. Build effective working relationships with all customers, office staff, fellow engineers, managers & directors. To support the Engineering Team to ensure that our client facing team are provided with the highest level of technical support, knowledge & guidance through regular assessment, comprehensive, continuous training & development regarding technical ability & legislative compliance for all assets managed across our client bases.
Having a multifaceted team of engineers is paramount to the success of the business.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Carry out servicing & maintenance, fault finding and remedial works to fire alarm, emergency lighting, AOV, dry riser interims, disabled refuge & HHE systems.
· To carry out low voltage (230v) remedial & installation works.
· Survey and report on existing systems with recommendations for improvement
· Be the second man on 2 man jobs – especially apprentice engineers to enable on-the-job training & Quality Assessment
· To attend site surveys where required including Site takeovers & system checks.
· To be included in the on-call engineer & on-call managers rota as per the on-call policy.
· Be flexible with the working patterns as and when required.
· Carry out all works to the current standards.
· Adhere to all H&S guidelines always and all policies and procedures which are stipulated in the Company Handbook
· To be able to take panel downloads and to cross reference C&E.
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITES
· To undertake any training provided by the company
ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Making sure all paperwork is completed in a correct and timely manor.
· Availability to attend meetings if required
To review and advise on technical queries from clients or staff.
· To be able to read and draw zone charts and Cause and effect matrix’s.
· To respond to emails and telephone calls promptly and efficiently.
To ensure any major failings are reported through the right channels.
Qualifications, skills and experience.
· General educational level
· Have the ability to make judgment calls/decisions based on your experience within the industry
· FIA Foundation - desirable
· FIA BS5839-1 Fundamentals in FA&D Unit 1 & 2 - Essential
· FIA Emergency Lighting (Part 1:Design) (Part 2:Advanced maintenance & Operation) - Essential
· FIA Servicing & Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers - Desirable
· Fire alarm and emergency lighting servicing experience - at least 5 years preferred
· Good verbal & written communication skills – Essential
· Excellent customer service skills - Essential
· IT literate -essential
· Knowledge and experience of current BS surrounding fire alarm and emergency lighting - essential
· Financial acumen – desirable
Full clean driving license - essential
