Full job description

Fire Surveyor | Join a housing provider where building safety is genuinely taken seriously

Not every Fire Surveyor role is the same.

  • £425 per day umbrella (able to pay PAYE as well)
  • 6-month contract
  • Hybrid working
  • 8-hour day

Some involve chasing actions that never get completed. Some leave you carrying responsibility without the support to back it up.
This isn't one of those roles.
We're working with a major housing provider that has made significant investment in building safety, fire compliance and the long-term quality of its homes.

You'll be responsible for overseeing fire door surveys and inspections, fire stopping, managing remedial programmes and working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure compliance standards are consistently achieved.
The housing portfolio isn't substantial. The investment is already approved. The work is planned for the long term but will be an initial 6 months with extensions likely.

What makes it worth considering?

  • Building safety sits high on the leadership agenda
  • Strong financial backing and a clear investment strategy
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Generous holiday entitlement and pension scheme if PAYE
  • Dedicated compliance and technical teams around you
  • Professional development support and funded training
  • A culture focused on wellbeing, not presenteeism
  • Modern systems and technology designed to make the job easier

What you'll need

  • Fire safety IFE Level 3 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of fire safety within high-rise buildings
  • Fire door surveying, compartment and fire stopping
  • Customer-focused, with a quality-over-quantity mindset

Most importantly, you'll be joining a team where compliance is seen as a critical service rather than a box-ticking exercise.

No pressure to apply.
If you'd be open to an informal and confidential conversation, I'm happy to share a few more details and let you decide whether it's worth exploring further.

Apply through Indeed to speak with Brett at Moxiepeople.
