Full job description
Peopleforce Recruitment are excited to be supporting the expansion of a well-established, BAFE-accredited company specializing in fire alarm system design, installation, and maintenance across the UK is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer. This company are committed to delivering high-quality fire safety solutions and building lasting relationships with our valued clients.
We seek a knowledgeable and skilled professional who is confident, dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive. The ideal candidate should hold FIA qualifications or an equivalent certification and have a solid understanding of current British Standards.
This role requires expertise in fire detection systems, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control. The successful applicant must be able to work independently, adhering to SSAIB and BAFE industry regulations. Additionally if the candidate has experience working with Fire Extinguishers it would be a bonus!
Role Details:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Competitive basic salary between £38,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Participation in a call-out rota (approximately once every six weeks)
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and routine maintenance of fire and security systems to industry standards
- Commissioning systems and conducting customer handovers
- Diagnosing and resolving system faults
- Accurately completing electronic reports in a timely manner
- Providing technical support and collaborating with team members
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of BS5839:1, BS5266:1, and BS7671 standards
- Familiarity with BAFE SP203-1 and SSAIB regulations
- Strong IT and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- UK work authorization and a full UK driving license
