Job Overview
EFT Systems has been established for over 50 years, however over the last 4 years has seen significant growth in large service contracts and large installation projects. Due to rapid expansion, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Life Safety & Security Systems engineer
We are looking to recruit a Fire and Emergency Lighting engineer to join our organisation.
The ideal candidate is a person who wants to stay and grow with the business over the years to come.

That means the more experienced you are the higher your salary. There is potential to earn more and develop at the same time. This is a fair way of paying people across the company.
North West/North East
· 42.5 hours over a calendar week
· After 42.5 hours worked within a calendar week over time rates will commence in-line with current company policy
· Pay commences after 30 mins travel to site and up to the last 30-minute travel home from site
· Pay commences on arrival to site if less than 30 mins travel
· Part of the Out of hours on call rota
· Salary Band: Paying more than the national average. We pay inline with a skills matrix, so the more skilled the more salary. We believe in fair pay across the board. Salary based on experience.

EFT’s and Industry Standards and Codes of Practice
· Carry out the regular servicing and reactive maintenance of our client’s life safety and security systems along with completing and submitting all relevant documentation.
· Using an electronic PDA for coordination and document control.
Servicing
· Servicing customer assets to ensure compliance
· Carry out small repairs
· Complete asset lists
Re-active Call support
· Managing and maintaining own van stock.
· Placing orders for equipment.
· Provide technical support to various team members at EFT to aide with accurate fault finding & repairs.
· Producing technical surveys to support estimation department when required
Clear and precise communication with customers
· Attend scheduled and booked appoints on time
· Coordination and liaison with customers providing continued updates on queries and outstanding works ensuring we are delivering high level customer service to our clients.
Training and Developing people
· Development of other engineers.
· Supervision and training of apprentices
· Fire Engineer: Minimum 1 years’ experience
· Accreditation compliance (NACOSS and BAFE)
· IT Competent to be able use a PDA and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel)
· Full, clean driving license
· Must pass full DRB check
· Must pass British Standard Security Screening (BS7858)
· It would be an advantage to have experience in some of the following products. Though training can be provided:
§ DualCom, RedCare, Digital Communicator, IP
o Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems
§ C-TEC, Sentri 2, Gent, Advanced, Morley, Fireclass, Menvier, Eaton, Protec, EMS, Hyfire, Ziton, Rafiki.
§ DualCom, RedCare, Digital Communicator, IP
o Emergency Lighting Systems
§ Self-Contained, Self-Testing and Central Battery Systems
