Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Health and Safety Advisor to join the successful and rapidly-expanding business at MotorSport Vision, Europe's largest motor racing circuit operator. Our venues host a number of prestigious championship races including World Superbikes, British Superbikes, British Touring Cars and many more. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and hardworking advisor to assist the Group Health and Safety Manager. This is an interesting and varied role with plenty of opportunity to grow and develop. You will be based either at our Brands Hatch or Donington Park circuit offices, working closely with the circuit teams as well as autonomously working on group wide projects, and travelling to our other circuits as required.

You will be a proactive and dynamic health and safety advisor, with the ability to balance the business awareness of its health and safety legal duties and best practice, with finding practical solutions when issues arise. This is a challenging and fast-paced working environment where building good relationships and effective communication are crucial. You will assist in the delivery of the Health, Safety, Fire and Welfare functions across multiple motorsport venues.

You must be prepared to work key event weekends, including Bank Holidays, during the event season, with occasional visits to other circuits across the group to assist the teams.

Key elements of the role will include:

  • Promoting and maintaining a positive safe and healthy culture across the business
  • Assisting, supporting and advising the MSV Group circuit teams so they can meet their statutory obligations pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work
  • Having a solution-based working ethos, with the ability to identify practical solutions to any problems
  • Reviewing and investigating accidents, incidents and near misses
  • Monitoring standards, processes and systems to ensure responsibilities associated with Health and Safety at each circuit are adhered to.
  • Creating and maintaining up-to-date Group safety documentation; risk assessments, method statements, safe working practices and training
  • Supporting Group compliance across buildings, facilities, equipment and vehicles, ensuring inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance are undertaken in line with statutory and company requirements.
  • Event Safety Management
  • Providing support to the Group Health and Safety Manager and assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Group health and safety management systems, along with other health and safety functions as required

For this role you will need;

  • To have, or be working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum NEBOSH National Certificate
  • 2 years experience in a similar event or maintenance based health and safety role
  • Membership of IOSH or other relevant bodies
  • A current, valid, clean driving licence
  • Excellent IT literacy, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently use multiple software packages, develop effective data management and reporting tools, embrace AI technologies, and rapidly learn new systems to support Health and Safety compliance, performance and continuous improvement
  • A conscientious and proactive professional approach and the ability to develop relationships at all levels across the company
  • A keen interest in events or motorsport although this is advantageous, rather than essential.

In return MSV offer;

  • Competitive pay + benefits
  • Up to 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Access to our MSV Hub platform, giving you access to discounts at 100s of shops across the UK.
  • Discounted food and drink when working on site
  • A staff pass allowing access for yourself and a guest to attend events at all MSV circuits (including BTCC & BSB)
  • Access to 24/7 wellbeing services
  • Training opportunities
  • A workplace pension
  • Free parking

To apply for this role, please click on the apply button. You should submit an up to date CV and a covering letter detailing why you are interested in the role, and how you think you would be a successful Group Health and Safety Advisor at MSV. Please also indicate your location preference, Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent or Donington Park Circuit in Leicestershire.

Due to the volume of applications expected, only those with detailed cover letters and up-to-date CVs will be considered and we may close the role earlier than the published date.
