Full job description

Here for people. Here for communities. Here for you.

What is the role?

Make a real impact every day as a Care Assistant at Hafod.

We’re looking for kind, caring and reliable people to join our team. You’ll support people with daily living activities and personal care like washing, dressing, helping people use the bathroom as well as supporting with meals, wellbeing activities and routines.

It’s hands on rewarding work where you can genuinely make a difference to the people you support, and no two days are ever the same.

We put people first, offering great training, supportive teams and opportunities to grow your career in care.

Please note: We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

We’re offering PT/FT hours with a range of shift options, including long days, early, late and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. We’ll talk through your availability and what works for you, while making sure we cover the shifts the home needs to provide the best care for our residents.

Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, and some shifts start early or finish late. You’ll therefore need reliable transport to and from work.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support residents to achieve their personal wellbeing outcomes by promoting independence, encouraging choice, and enabling meaningful involvement in activities that matter to them
  • Provide companionate personal and practical support to residents, including supporting activities of daily living, mobility, personal care such as washing, dressing and helping people use the bathroom, while actively promoting their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing
  • Build positive, trusting relationships, offering kindness, conversation and emotional support to help residents feel safe and valued.
  • Digitally monitor and record care support accurately, following care plans, reporting concerns and keeping colleagues informed.

You can find the full job description attached for a more detailed overview of the role.

What you’ll bring

  • A kind, patient and caring approach, with a genuine desire to support people.
  • Reliability and willingness to learn, with confidence to follow guidance, routines and care plans.
  • A respectful, person-centred attitude, valuing each individual's choices, dignity and independence.
  • Emotional resilience and a calm manner, especially when supporting residents with varied needs.

Previous care experience isn’t essential, your compassion, reliability and desire to help others are what count. We’ll teach you what you need, and you’ll have the chance to complete a QCF qualification in Health and Social Care, which is a recognised award that supports your skills and career development in Care.
