Control Room Operator/Office administration

Scope and purpose of Job Description

*A Driving licence is essential for this role. For insurance purposes you must be aged 21 or over and held your licence for at least a year*

As a Control Room Operator you will work as part of a team to assist in the smooth operation of our patient transport, residential and bed watch services.

· Residential is supporting young people (generally) in a supported living environment.

· The Secure transport role involves the transfer of children and adults around the country.

· Bed watch is supporting patients, usually in a hospital setting.

· Agency bookings may also include staffing needs of another Company

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The Control Room Operator will be required to:

· Act as first point of contact for clients who require support and/or service and be responsible for inbound and outbound calls

· Demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service

· Take bookings via both telephone and our online booking system

· Set up Transport teams to dispatch for the patient transfer

· Use maps to help plan conveyance jobs and keep up to date with teams whereabouts

· Use workplace platform to ensure all team members are aware of job and meet point

· Arrange staff to cover a clients needs

· Use Company database systems to gather, monitor, record and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

· Keep electronic data systems up to date and manage the archiving of electronic files

· Where incidents occur, document actions taken and ensure correct reports are submitted

· Maintain fleet vehicles

· To undertake general office admin as and when requested to do so

Education and Skills Required

• Ability to work collectively within a team to achieve best practice by offering solutions to any hurdles and issues
• Ability to self manage your workload
• Competency with IT and telephone systems

Essential Requirements of the role

· Effective verbal and written communication

· Enhanced DBS and subscribed to the update service (will be completed by Exclusive Secure Care Services Limited if required)

• Full UK Driving Licence and aged over 21
• Candidates to work shifts and to be on call 1 weekend in 4 – See Shift Pattern

All relevant training will be provided by Exclusive Secure Care Services limited.

Working Hours/Pay

• 4 weekly shift pattern
• Day and evening shifts
• Monday to Sunday
• Overtime availability at increased rate
• Weekly Pay
• £12.50 per hour during 3 month probation and rising to £13.50 upon successful completion (Plus Extra for on call)

The working hours of this role are on the following shift pattern:-

Week 1 – 06:00 to 14:30 Monday to Saturday and Sunday and Monday off. If you pick up a Sunday shift, you have the following Friday off

Week 2 – 07:00 to 15:30 Monday to Friday – Saturday and Sunday off

Week 3 – 14:30 to 23:00 Monday to Friday – On call from 23:00 to 06:00 Monday to Sunday

Week 4 – 15:30 – 00:00 Monday to Friday - Saturday and Sunday off
