Registered Manager – 18+ Supported Accommodation (LD/MH)
Job Title: Registered Manager - minimum Level 3
Service Type: 18+ Supported Accommodation (Non‑CQC)
Reports To: Director / Responsible Individual
Location: Staffordshire / Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience
1. Job PurposeTo lead and manage a high‑quality supported accommodation service for adults aged 18+, ensuring safe, person‑centred support, strong governance, and compliance with local authority commissioning standards. The role includes operational leadership, staff development, safeguarding oversight, and continuous improvement of service quality.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Oversee day‑to‑day running of the supported accommodation service.
- Ensure delivery of personalised support plans for adults with mild–moderate Learning Disabilities, Autism, or Mental Health needs.
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service.
- Ensure compliance with local authority contracts, safeguarding procedures, and supported accommodation standards.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise support workers.
Partnership & Communication
- Build strong relationships with Adult Social Care teams, LD/MH teams, Transitions, Leaving Care, and Brokerage.
Service Development
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Support expansion into regulated services (CQC) as required.
3. Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Requirements (Level 3)
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in adult social care or supported accommodation.
4. Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and competing priorities.
5. Additional Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
