Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fish and Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fried dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts, with a focus on maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Prepare fresh fish, chips, and other fried items according to company recipes and standards
- Operate deep fryers safely and efficiently to ensure consistent product quality
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including cleaning fryers, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and breading ingredients
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Manage stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Support team members with meal preparation and serving when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for all staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, particularly frying, is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or fast-food environment is beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality
Pay: £14.50 per hour
