Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to the highest standards, ensuring quality and safety are maintained at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a dynamic restaurant environment. The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced setting, contributing to the overall dining experience of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items using deep-frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the fryer station in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist with meal preparation, including portioning ingredients and assembling dishes as required.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and equipment operation.
  • Monitor oil temperature and replenish supplies as needed to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Adhere to recipe specifications and presentation standards set by the establishment.
  • Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, including fryers, utensils, and work surfaces at the end of each shift.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards is essential.
  • Experience with meal preparation and working with kitchen equipment will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with serving in a fast-paced environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
