The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join a busy and welcoming kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident chef who is ready to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen when required and play an important role in maintaining high food standards.

The kitchen focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and well-presented, quality dishes, with a varied menu including classic pub favourites, steaks, fish, vegetarian and vegan options, pizzas and seasonal dishes.

Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen when required
Run a section in kitchen during busy services.
Prepare and produce high-quality food consistently.
Maintain excellent standards of presentation, food hygiene and cleanliness.
Assist with menu preparation and contribute ideas for new dishes and specials.
Manage stock, ordering and minimise food waste.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and within budget.
Support catering for private functions, celebrations and special events.
Lead by example and help develop a positive kitchen environment.

You will have previous experience in a busy pub, restaurant or similar environment, with strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen organisation and stock control. Most importantly, you will be passionate about good food and take pride in delivering a consistently high standard.
