Job Overview:

Weatherford have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join the Fishing, Milling and Plug & Abandonment Team Aberdeen, UK.

As a Technical Sales Representative for Fishing, Milling and Plug & Abandonment or ISDT (Intervention Services & Drilling Tools), you will leverage your extensive product and operational expertise to strategically sell specialized tools, technologies, and services within the Weatherford portfolio within the UK. You will provide high-level technical knowledge to clients at their locations (rig sites, warehouses, workshops) while identifying cross-selling opportunities across segments in alignment with the company's sales strategy.

Responsibilities:

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.
  • Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection as core values.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HSE practices, considering responsible care and best business practices.
  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership when representing Weatherford.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Own the complete field sales lifecycle process from initial engagement to delivery.
  • Understand customer needs and position Weatherford products effectively to key decision makers.
  • Develop and execute client engagement plans to enhance company profitability.
  • Create specific client application value propositions.
  • Conduct regular customer site visits to ensure satisfaction and strengthen relationships.
  • Propose solutions through formal presentations, bids, and tender submissions.

Financial Performance

  • Generate annual revenue targets through strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Identify and address revenue gaps to ensure target achievement.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales Manager on sales strategies and budget planning.
  • Deliver positive commercial results through strong negotiation skills.
  • Identify upsell and cross-selling opportunities across product lines.
  • Manage expenses responsibly within approved budgets.

Technical & Quality Excellence

  • Effectively utilize available technology platforms (SFDC.com, XAIT-Porter).
  • Discuss technical specifications with clients and gather valuable feedback.
  • Work with internal resources to resolve customer issues and maintain service quality.
  • Identify business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Relay competitive intelligence to appropriate product line stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and services based on customer needs.

Professional Development

  • Participate in sales training to gain cross-product line knowledge.
  • Complete all necessary training including product line, financial, negotiations, and customer service.
  • Support the technical education of the internal sales community.
  • Engage regularly with management to discuss performance and development opportunities.

Experience & Education Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of Weatherford, industry technical, or operational experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly gain comprehensive knowledge of Weatherford products and services.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Technical understanding of intervention services and drilling tools.
  • This role requires domestic and potentially international travel of 10%.
