If you take pride in high standards and want to be part of a team that makes a real difference to the customer experience, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

This is a physically active role and will involve working shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  •  Plug in and charge electric buses following correct procedures
  •  Carry out basic external cleaning tasks where needed
  •  Use approved equipment safely and effectively
  •  Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including correct PPE use and fuel handling
  •  Work to set schedules to ensure buses are ready for service on time
  •  Report any defects, damage, or safety concerns immediately
  •  Record fuelling and charging activities using our audit and workforce management systems
  •  Support environmental initiatives through correct waste disposal and recycling
  •  Follow all garage Health & Safety practices

What We’re Looking For

  •  Previous fuelling or vehicle preparation experience (transport or industrial environments desirable)
  •  Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work shifts
  •  Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
  •  Good level of physical fitness
  •  Able to work independently or as part of a team
  •  Good communication skills and ability to work with supervisors, engineers, and shunters
  •  Willingness to undertake additional duties as required

What We Offer

  •  Competitive hourly rate (£14.80)
  •  Company pension scheme
  •  Training and development opportunities
  •  Free or discounted travel on TfL services
  •  Opportunities for progression within Go Ahead London
