Airside Experience Associate - Signature Aviation, Luton FBO

Part time contract (24 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: 4-on, 2-off

Salary starting from: £16k+ (£27k full-time equivalent)

Launch your career in aviation with a role that combines exceptional customer service and hands-on aircraft operations.

Who we are:

With more than 225 locations worldwide, Signature Aviation is the largest global network of private aviation terminals, delivering safe, convenient, and elevated experiences to those we serve. As a premier hospitality organisation and a certified Great Place to Work™, we are committed to redefining private air travel. Our nearly 6,000-strong team of aviation experts and enthusiasts is dedicated to delivering excellence to our guests and communities, and it starts with taking care of our team.

Signature provides a variety of benefits, programmes, and resources to support our team members' overall well-being and professional development. We proudly volunteer and give back, focusing on elevating the communities where we operate and empowering the next generation of aviation professionals.

Your new role:

As an Airside Experience Associate, you will work closely with the Guest Experience team, guests and aircraft crew to deliver a seamless, world-class experience from arrival to departure. This varied role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both front-of-house hospitality and airside operations, making it an ideal entry point into the aviation industry.

You will primarily be based within our Front of House (FOH) area, providing curbside assistance to guests arriving at the FBO. As one of the first people our guests meet, you will play an important role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience. You will safely load and unload baggage, support guest arrivals and departures, and work alongside the security team to manage access through the front barrier while maintaining a welcoming and secure environment.

Alongside your customer-facing responsibilities, you will support the delivery of a range of essential airside services, including:

  • Chocking and wing walking
  • Ground power, potable water and lavatory services
  • Catering delivery coordination
  • Aircraft towing support and aircraft movements
  • Operating company vehicles and specialist ground service equipment

Maintaining a safe, clean and secure FBO and operational environment is a key part of the role. This includes supporting the upkeep of buildings, hangars and grounds, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, and taking action to ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, aircraft and equipment.

About you:

You will be a minimum of 18 years of age with the ability to pass company background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug and alcohol tests, meet airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport ID, and be insurable by the Company's applicable insurance policies. You must hold the right to work in the UK and have a full UK driving licence. Flexibility of start and finish times within the shift pattern is required. This role requires the regular handling and movement of passenger luggage, which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling items of varying weights.

What We Offer:

Our people are extremely important to us, so we offer a benefits package designed to motive and reward you, whilst considering your overall wellbeing and all-important work/life integration.

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Defined Contribution Company Pension Scheme, with matched contribution up to 7.5%
  • Employee Assistance Program – 24/7 help, guidance and support including access to free face-to-face counselling
  • Healthcare Cash Plan (Medicash)
  • Access to an Employee Perks platform (shopping discounts)
  • Free on-site parking
  • Full uniform provided (where required)
  • Full access to LinkedIn Learning and ongoing Training & Development Opportunities
  • Global Development Scheme Opportunities
  • Mentorship schemes
  • Recognition programme - performance, going above and beyond, service
  • Volunteering / Charity Days
  • Regular social events
  • Enhanced Family Friendly Leave Policies

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in aviation. You'll gain hands-on experience across both guest services and aircraft operations, develop specialist aviation skills, and work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
