Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help create safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces that meet project specifications and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality construction outcomes. To be able to install wetroom flooring with hot welding a must.

Duties

  • Measure, cut, and install different flooring materials such as Safety flooring, laminate, vinyl, tile, or carpet according to project plans and schematics
  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and durability
  • Use hand tools like hammers, chisels, trowels, and pry bars to remove old flooring and install new materials efficiently
  • Operate power tools including saws, drills, and sanders safely and effectively to complete installation tasks
  • Follow construction drawings and schematics precisely to ensure accurate placement of flooring components
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for flooring work
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and techniques relevant to floor laying projects
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings accurately
  • Experience with construction for finishing touches on flooring projects
  • Excellent physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
