Stilton Shutters & Blinds is a premium made-to-measure shutters, blinds and awnings company based in Yaxley, Peterborough. We are looking for one exceptional Sales & Design Consultant to own the customer journey from the first appointment through to the day the shutters go up.

This is not a cold-calling job. Every appointment is pre-booked and paid for by us.

Why this role is different

• Warm, inbound appointments. Around 70 pre-booked in-home surveys a month across the team, from customers who have already asked us to come.
• £30,000 to £35,000 basic plus genuinely uncapped commission. Realistic OTE £50,000 to £60,000, and we do not cap the top.
• You price and close in the home. You build the quote on an iPad with the customer in front of you, so nobody waits 48 hours for a price.
• Premium product, premium customers. Larger homes and new builds across Peterborough, Stamford, Huntingdon, Oundle and the surrounding villages. Our shutters carry a 15-year guarantee.
• Real support behind you. A dedicated back office handles admin and customer communication. Our own fitting teams do the installations. You sell and survey.
• Room to grow. We are scaling, and the person who does this brilliantly has a clear route into leading the front office.

What you will actually do

• Attend pre-booked appointments in customers' homes, typically around 30 minutes each.
• Understand what the customer is trying to achieve, then inspire them with colours, finishes, louvre sizes and options they had not considered.
• Spot every window opportunity in the house and offer to measure it. You are not an order taker.
• Measure accurately and survey the job properly. Accuracy is non-negotiable here, because a measuring error costs real money.
• Build and present the quote on the day, then follow up professionally until the customer says yes or no.
• Secure the deposit, place the order correctly and stay accountable for the customer's experience through to installation.

Who we are looking for

We want a salesperson who can learn to survey. We are not looking for a fitter who sells reluctantly.

You are probably selling kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, windows, flooring or furniture in customers' homes right now, and you are quietly frustrated that your commission is capped, your leads are thin, or someone else takes the credit for your work.

You will need:

• A track record of selling in customers' homes, or a strong consultative design-led retail background.
• Confidence talking about money, and the discipline to follow up properly.
• A genuine interest in interiors: colour, light, finish and how a room feels.
• Obsessive attention to detail. Millimetres matter.
• Comfort with technology. We run Pipedrive, a tablet-based quoting app and digital surveys.
• A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
