Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Layer / Flooring Installer to join our team immediately. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring materials across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise, durable, and aesthetically pleasing flooring solutions. This position offers an energetic work environment where your skills in construction and finishing will make a tangible impact on each project’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary surface treatments to ensure optimal flooring adhesion.
  • Measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces.
  • Install a variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings to execute precise installations.
  • Use carpentry skills to modify subflooring or trim as needed for a seamless finish.
  • Apply construction painting techniques when required for finishing touches or repairs around flooring areas.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling all tools and equipment.

Skills

  • Proven construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, pry bars, and measuring tapes.
  • Strong carpentry skills for framing, trimming, and subfloor adjustments.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience with construction painting for finishing or touch-up work around flooring areas.
  • Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and tile cutters safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Must have your own tools
