Barista - Cognito Café

At Cognito Café, we’re creating something special, a stylish, independent café focused on exceptional coffee, fresh food, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. Open 7 days a week, we’re building a team of passionate, friendly people who love hospitality and take pride in what they do.

As a Barista at Cognito Café, you’ll play a key role in shaping our customer experience from day one, delivering great coffee, great service, and creating a space people want to return to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine approach and provide outstanding customer service
  • Take accurate orders and confidently use the till/POS system
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, teas, and fresh food to a consistent standard
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment with care and precision
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting workspace at all times
  • Restock supplies and support smooth day-to-day operations
  • Work closely with the team to create a positive and supportive environment
  • Stay calm and efficient during busy periods while maintaining high standards
  • Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures
  • Cash Handling
  • Managing Staff, responsible for a small team
  • Ordering and stock control

Essential:
