Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting food safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional customer service. The position involves operating vehicles, and requires a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Duties

  • Safely operate vehicles to deliver food to customers' premises.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring items safe properly during transit.
  • Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers upon completion of each delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver
  • Valid driving licence; a clean driving record is essential.
  • Experience with delivery routes and navigation tools such as GPS devices or mapping software.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading goods safely.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required, with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation.
