From doorstep deliveries to reducing waste and supporting local producers, we make doing the right thing the easiest option. No extra effort, no extra trips, just everyday decisions that add up to real impact.

The Role

The Hub Associate is responsible for executing the core operational tasks that keep the hub running smoothly and safely. This role ensures stock is handled accurately, orders are picked correctly, assets are managed properly, and the yard and site remain compliant and ready for despatch.

The Hub Associate plays a critical role in enabling OTIFIQ by ensuring drivers leave with the right products, in full, and on time.

The Function

Fulfilment depends on disciplined preparation before routes leave the hub. The Hub Associate ensures stock accuracy, despatch readiness, and compliance standards are upheld so drivers can execute deliveries without preventable errors.

Working under the guidance of the Hub Manager and Driver Team Leader, this role supports operational stability, yard organisation, waste control, and food safety compliance.

Duties and Areas of Responsibilities

Stock Handling & Order Preparation

  • Receive, move, and store stock accurately within the hub.
  • Pick and stage customer orders in line with quality and delivery standards.
  • Ensure drivers are provided with the correct orders, in full, and on time.
  • Perform regular stock counts and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Identify, report, and process damaged or returned goods correctly.
  • Support waste reduction by handling stock carefully and following process.

Yard & Asset Management

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard and operational space.
  • Sort, clean, and manage returnable assets (crates, pallets, etc.).
  • Prepare yard space for inbound supplier deliveries and outbound despatch.
  • Ensure all waste is separated and disposed of according to recycling and compliance standards.
  • Support loading and unloading activities as required.

Compliance & Safety Execution

  • Complete assigned daily checks and operational tasks accurately.
  • Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Report hazards, defects or non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Support audit preparation through accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational discipline.
