Job Overview

Join our team as an Electric Bike Rider and become a vital link in delivering food to our stores in Birmingham! In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for safely navigating London on your own electric bike to ensure timely deliveries. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to stay active, engage with diverse communities, and be part of a fast-paced, innovative delivery network.

Riders help maintain food safety, keep stores supplied, support stock movements and orange juice operations, identify operational issues early, and ensure company standards are consistently met across all locations.

You MUST have your own Electric Bike- this can't be a Lime, Forest or any other PAYG type e-bike. Your seat must come off your e-bike, so we can attach the trailer

Due to the nature of this role being self-employed, we cannot accept student visas

Duties

  • Safely operate your own electric bike along designated routes to deliver packages or goods efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with customers during delivery to confirm receipt and address any questions or concerns
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road
  • Conduct food safety checks within the stores and rearrange food as needs.
  • carry out maintenance on the orange juice machine
  • Conduct routine checks on the electric bike to ensure it is in good working condition before each shift
  • Handle packages with care, ensuring they are delivered intact and on time
  • Provide friendly, professional service that reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or roles requiring strong communication skills
  • Ability to navigate urban or suburban areas confidently using maps or GPS devices
  • Comfortable riding an electric bike for extended periods in various weather conditions
  • food safety level 2
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: £13.50 per hour
