Full job description

About Peya

Peya is an artisanal South Asian beverage brand bringing naturally crafted chai and spiced cacao to markets, festivals and events across London. We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused person to represent our brand and help grow our sales at in-person markets.

The Role

You'll be the face of Peya at weekend markets, actively engaging with customers, sharing our story, preparing our drinks for samples, and creating a memorable experience that encourages people to buy our blends.

You'll also prepare samples made from our blends before markets, transport everything to the venue, set up and run the stall, and pack everything away afterwards. After a short training period, you'll take full ownership of running the stall solo.

What You'll Do

  • Confidently engage customers to approach the stall
  • Offer samples and convert conversations into sales of our tins
  • Tell the Peya story and explain our products with enthusiasm
  • Before the market, prepare chai and spiced cacao using our blends
  • Set up and pack down the market stall
  • Transport stock and equipment to and from markets
  • Handle payments and manage stock during events
  • Keep the stall clean, organised and food-safe
  • Run the stall independently once trained

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a genuine sales attitude and a friendly, approachable demeanour above all else. This is an important requirement so please highlight any public speaking/people engagement experience in your application
  • Loves talking to people and can naturally start conversations
  • Is confident selling premium food and drink products
  • Has excellent customer service skills
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
  • Can comfortably lift and transport stock and equipment (equipment can go up to 12kg)
  • Is comfortable with brewing chai (after some training) or is willing to learn
  • Own car and full driving licence - to transport stock and equipment to the market. Fuel costs will be provided by Peya.

Bonus points for:

  • Proven experience in face-to-face sales, retail sales, market stalls, hospitality or brand promotion
  • Living near Watford or Richmond, given market locations and production facility

Hours

  • Part-time
  • Primarily weekends, with occasional weekday markets (subject to your availability)

Pay

Competitive hourly rate, plus performance-based bonus on sales.

Why Join Peya?

  • Represent an exciting, growing artisan beverage brand
  • Meet hundreds of customers at markets across West London
  • Have real ownership over your stall rather than simply serving customers
  • Grow with the business as we expand

Application Process

  • Send us your CV
  • Send us a quick note about yourself and why you'd be a great fit (either in your CV or through Indeed messages)
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview
  • Successful candidate will complete a couple of shadow shifts before running the stall solo

If you're someone who enjoys meeting people, thrives in a sales environment, and loves representing great products, we'd love to hear from you.
