Runner – Food Production

Location: Newry
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time

Gentech Recruitment is recruiting Runners to join a busy food production facility in the Newry area.

This is a fast-paced role supporting the production operation by ensuring teams have the materials and ingredients they need throughout the shift.

The Role

As a Runner, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting materials, ingredients and supplies from chilled storage areas
  • Delivering materials to the correct production lines and departments
  • Ensuring production areas remain adequately stocked throughout the shift
  • Communicating with production, stores and chiller teams
  • Responding quickly to requests from production staff
  • Moving stock safely around the factory
  • Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and free from hazards
  • Carrying out other general production duties when required

What We're Looking For

  • Good spoken and written English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment
  • Able to follow instructions accurately
  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout the shift
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working in chilled environments
  • Previous food production, warehouse or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential

Pay & Hours

£13.00 per hour

Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.
