Job Summary

Lead a team to ensure full compliance with hygiene and food safety standards across the Corby site to include required accreditation requirements, customer and Jacksons standards. To include laundry, production and storage areas as well as yard.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Deputies for the Quality Manager - Corby

Team

  • Directly manage a team of Hygiene Operators to ensure the needs of the 24/7 business are met through hygiene control
  • Establish appropriate KPIs for your teams to include as a minimum: completion of hygiene schedules, monitoring results (swabbing) as appropriate and GMP auditing
  • Ensure that the correct level of resource is available to complete the required tasks in a timely manner and ensure production efficiency and labour budgets are maintained
  • Provide direction and support to your team, managing and facilitating performance and development whilst striving for continuous improvement in factory standards
  • Ensure department structure and skills are developed to meet changing requirements, and be responsible for team training

Factory Standards / Food Safety

  • Along with the FSQ Team, monitor adherence to Jacksons standards through detailed GMP and food safety audits
  • Be ambitious in the approach towards continuous improvement by coaching and mentoring direct reports and setting ambitious targets
  • Develop and maintain appropriately managed documentation to support the systems that are audit ready
  • Site contact for external pest management, and responsible for maintenance of pest control system, ensuring site remains free from risk of pests
  • Ensure compliance with waste segregation and disposal
  • Ensure thorough preparation for all customer audits whilst promoting the principle of audit readiness in relevant team function to include cleaning schedules and pest control documentation
  • Manage closure of actions within specified timescales to include as a minimum pest control, internal audits, GMP, 3rd party audits

Internal Audits

  • Support the central compliance audit programme through developing specific hygiene-related audits and monitoring programmes such as environmental swabbing
  • Monitor adherence to Jackson’s Quality Management systems through routine audit programmes

General

  • Work within the departmental annual budget, monitoring spend and adjusting where necessary. Track all spend to ensure budget remains on track
  • Propose continuous improvement within function, for example – improved method of cleaning to reduce labour burden and/or improve hygiene standard
  • Carry out all other reasonable duties to meet the needs of the business as requested.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
